Every youth in our country should have the opportunity to succeed .Education is that opportunity.
In our country, sadly, only one out of four students gets the opportunity to continue their higher education. Refer GER ration report . In Tamilnadu close to 2 Lacs students discontinue their education, despite scoring good marks.
At Anandham, our aim is to bridge this gap. We strive to make the transition from school education to higher education as smooth as possible for underprivileged students.
Our team works at the grassroots to identify underprivileged, meritorious students and give them their best chance at education.
How Anandham Contributes?
Complete Education Support
We bear the 100 % educational expenses of the chosen students for the duration of their study.
Extended Financial Aid
Our financial assistance includes hostel fees, food, transportation costs, career-building courses, and more.
Effective Mentoring
We appoint mentors who help students identify and achieve their goals by tracking their performances.
Creating Responsible Citizens
Apart from being good students, we also facilitate in making them happy, responsible individuals.Value Education
Our value educational training programs instill strength and values within the students whilst making them responsible citizens of our society.
To achieve this, we are:
- Conducting various life skill training programs, personality development courses, goal-setting workshops, etc.
- Spoken English courses to bring them at par with the brilliant city students
- Health and wellness classes like yoga, meditation
- Training for interview answering skills, anger management, emotional intelligence, etc.
- Bringing in expert professionals like Prof. Dr. Kalieswaran, Mr. Paraman Patchimuthu, Ms. Kirthanya and many other reputed trainers
- Joining with Valga Valumudan – Maharishi Manavalakali Mandram to organize yoga and meditation sessions
Mentorship
At Anandham, we assign each student a trained mentor who guides and supports them at every level in their educational career through our unique, effective, and successful student mentorship program.
In spite of being from rural areas, our students are good in their studies. When they enter the premier colleges, collaborating with the students from such colleges becomes a challenge for our students. That’s why our mentors handhold our students to offer moral support and inspire them to pursue their dreams.
Interact with the students on regular intervals
Understand their academic challenges and guide them with the help of an expert panel. They continually work on an 8 step holistic program devised by the thought leaders to push their mentees beyond their comfort zones and reach newer heights.
Offer focused assistance for improvement
At Anandham, we go beyond the emotions and believe in processes. All the mentors submit the student progress reports to the Anandham EC team.
